Cane Juice-based Energy Drink
Shesha™ is the world’s first raw sugarcane-based energy drink developed by Womoba – a proudly South African company. Hand harvested and peeled high quality sugarcane stalks are crushed forming the base of this naturally sweetened and fortified energy drink. Harvested and canned in KwaZulu-Natal, this home-grown product is creating jobs in rural KZN.
Available in 300ml cans, four wonderful flavours of Shesha™ are on offer – Original, Lemon & Lime, Ginger Beer and Orange.

Stevia Production
South African sugarcane farmers have been growing cane since the late 1800’s and are a major employer and livelihood supporter within the deep rural areas of KwaZulu-Natal and Mpumalanga.
With its firm foundation in farming and product processing, Womoba has been successful in rolling out a national stevia industry through the establishment of the Wostevia company. Backed by South African sugarcane farmers, Wostevia’s objective is to be a world-class producer of cost-competitive stevia and stevia formulations.
Wostevia now provides consumers with an alternative natural, non-nutritive product that can be used for cooking and baking whilst enabling farmers to do what they do best – that is to produce agricultural products of benefit to consumers!
Biogas
Built in 2015, a biogas pilot plant was developed to enable a process by which growers can derive electricity from the digestion of sugarcane tops and trash (leaf residues) on their farms.
A number of other feedstocks were also trialed, and IP retained.
The plant was designed to allow it to be affordable and easy to run. Protocols and expert advice is available to growers should they wish to replicate the technology on their farms. Please contact us for more information.
